How to Write an Ebook - The Straightforward Way to Write an Ebook in 7 Days or Less!

If you want to write an eBook to make money online or share your knowledge with others, read on to find out how you can do just that in 7 days or less! Yes, the process of writing a 7 day eBook might seem impossible if you have never written anything longer than a blog post or an email to a friend, but it is easy enough to learn.

The process of learning how to write an eBook is a simple one - you already know how to do it. This is not some trick I am playing on you. If you think about it, you already know how to type and use a computer. These are the two requirements for writing an eBook.

What about generating topics, formatting, publishing, selling ebooks and a hundred of other things you are thinking about that is required to publish and sell your ebook? The truth is that all the steps involved with writing, publishing and selling an ebook can be boiled down to a handful - and all require minimal, if not basic skills you probably already have.

Don't believe me? I bet you will when you get done reading the steps you need to follow. Here they are:

Day One:

Idea - You need an idea that you are passionate about and know enough about that you do not need to do a lot of research. So, what are you passionate about and know a lot about? What you love doing in your spare time can easily become the material for a best-selling ebook.

Note: In order to complete your first draft in 7 days or less, you are going to want to stay focused on a narrow topic. Do not try and write an ebook on everything related to your topic. Pick one big problem in your niche and focus on that.

Research - Even if you know a lot about the subject, you are going to want to do a little research to understand more about your topic. Purchase an ebook or two and look at your bookshelf for books you have on the subject.

Brainstorm - You need to flesh out what you will cover in your ebook. Write down all the subjects and issues you can think of related to your topic.

Outline - Your brainstorm leads right into your outline. Here is where you organize your thoughts on a fresh piece of paper. Put yourself in the shoes of your reader and ask yourself - what would they need to know first about my topic? Then build from there, taking your reader through the entire process of solving their problem or achieving their goal.

Write - Once your outline is completed, do not stop now - start writing immediately! Do not over-think the process. Pick a topic from your outline, think about the topic for a few moments and then write what your readers need to know about it.

Day 2 - 7:

Keep Writing - You should strive to write 5 to 7 double-spaced pages per day. This works out to roughly a 35 to 50 page ebook, which is more than enough as most ebooks are in this page-count range.

Rough Editing - You are NOT allowed to edit your ebook until day 6 (or later). Focus on writing and getting your first draft done. At the end of day 6, take the time to go through your draft to see what you have left to write about. You can also check this out by looking at your outline and see what topics or chapters you have not crossed out yet. If you have a lot of empty spaces in your draft, then spend the night writing as much as possible in these areas and finish up tomorrow.

Finish Writing - On day 7, finish your first draft. Enough said. If you follow the above steps, then you have just written an ebook! Congratulations.

Day 8 and Beyond:

You have a few more steps ahead of you in order to publish and sell your ebook, but like the above steps, they are easy to complete and do not require skills that you need to learn. But we are getting ahead of ourselves here and the first step is to write your own ebook.

Take out a piece of paper right now and start listing out things you would like to write about and then take it from there. Here is to your becoming a published author in just 7 days from now!
